The next issue is cost. It seems that companies take advantage of what people don’t know and overcharge them for services they don’t need or may need but not near as expensive. They simply take advantage of the situation. (Not all companies)

In my story I owned a small shoppers guide. I called several people about getting my paper online. I was NOT prepared for the price quote. The quote to me for management and designed was $3000 plus $250 week to management it online. I was shocked! I was a small business man trying to make it in this world.

That fired me up to do some investigating. What I found out was even more shocking! I was so misled due to I did not understand the language used in computers, websites and hosting. I found the industry as a whole like the medical industry felt since I don’t know their terms or truth about what I was wanting, they could get hi tech in wording and charge me anything they wanted me to pay. After all I didn’t know what they were talking about, it was over my head.

Remember my quote of $3000 for design and $250 per week for management? I was able to get my site designed for under $500 plus hosting was another $10 per month! Management to maintain my website cost me $125 per month not $250 per week! Thus Street Smart Web Design was born. We only speak English here.
